Fives parts of the Brain and their Functions
On the diagram of the brain label the five parts: medulla oblongata, cerebellum, hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and cerebral hemispheres.
In each label, also include the functions of that part. (choose from this list):
- Secretes hormones to control many processes in the body.
- Helps coordinate muscle movement and balance.
- Controls secretion of hormones by the pituitary gland.
- Used for complex thought processes, memory and problem solving.
- Controls unconscious processes including breathing.
