Drawing a diagram of the digestive system for IB Biology.

You can never replicate exactly a diagram from a text in an exam. You have to keep the key shape, size and position.

Use the diagram below or the text book to draw your own diagram on a peice of A3 paper, showing the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, anus, liver, pancreas and gall bladder. The diagram should clearly show the interconnections between these structures.

On the diagram outline the functions of

• the stomach,
  
• small intestine and
  
• large intestine.

Add a diagram of a villus and explain how its structure helps absorption and the transport of the products of digestion (you do not need to be able to draw a villus so this coumd be printed and stuck on).
