MITOCHONDRIA

· Small rod shaped organelle. (Jelly bean shape.)

· Powerhouse of cell because used for respiration.

· Where lots of energy is needed, there are lots of mitochondria.

· It has a double membrane.

· When cell divides, mitochondria replicate because they have their own DNA.
