Chloroplast Cells
- Enables
plant cells to make their own food.
- Folded
inner membranes allow for a greater surface area for biochemical reactions
to take place.

- Cell
consists of grana which contain chlorophyll, stroma, the
enzymes that are necessary to help complete the process of photosynthesis,
starch grains, the form in which food is stored as, and thylakoids,
where photosynthesis light reactions occur.
- Chloroplasts
contain their own DNA.
- Chloroplasts
have a double membrane, an outer permeable membrane, and an inner
partially permeable membrane that controls the movement of molecules in
and out of the cell, such as sugars and proteins.
